Aggregate production planning considering organizational learning with case based analysis

Responding rapidly to customer needs is one of the main targets industrial organizations that want survive in current market competition. This objective can be attained through robust planning. Workforce productivity considered important entities production However, it has a dynamic nature, i.e. growths thanks on-job training or learning phenomenon. Considering this fact manufacturing planning enhances robustness developed plans. The present paper presents mathematical model for medium-range used find optimal aggregate plan. aims optimize total costs while respecting most operational constraints and considering process organizational learning. presented constructed relying on real practices; outcome mixed-integer linear program. was validated checked using data collected from an Egyptian factory produces electric motors home appliances. proposed optimally solved “ILOG-CPLEX 12.6”. By comparing results obtained versus method adopted factory, cost reduction 6.3% achieved set. A set managerial aspects are concluded after analysis. Moreover, impact detailed rates discussed.
